Notes:
Recorded in New York, Jan-May 2005. Fatty & Mabel Adriftis a 1916 movie directed by Roscoe Arbuckle, with music score by Dave Douglas (2005) from Keystone playlist plus additional music. Fatty & Mabel Adrift (1916/Keystone-Triangle) stars Roscoe Arbuckle, Mabel Normand, Al St. John, and Luke the Dog. Filmed in Los Angeles toward the end of 1915, this was one of Arbuckle's last productions in L.A. before leaving Sennett & Keystone and moving East. It was also one of the last before a serious leg infection that caused him to lose about 85 pounds, which he eventually regained, along with a limp. Notice that Mabel always refers to him as Roscoe, never "Fatty." It was not a nickname he particularly liked. Normand was one of the few who stuck by Arbuckle through his trials of 1921 and 1922, even despite the damage it did to her own career. Luke was actually Arbuckle's own dog, who appeared in many films and drew a decent salary from the studio. Al St. John, the jilted lover, was Roscoe's nephew and worked closely with him and Buster Keaton in many classic films. Just Another Murder contains vignettes from the film Fatty's Tin-Type Tangle (1915/Keystone) © & ℗ 2005 Greenleaf Music, Inc. PO Box 477364, Chicago, Il 60647.
