In the fall of 1957, there were two seperate JATP concerts recorded that featured the group led by Stan Getz and J.J. Johnson.
The first was recorded in stereo in Chicago and the second in mono in Los Angeles.
Tracks 1-4 recorded in stereo, September 29, 1957 at the Civic Opera House in Chicago.
Tracks 5-10 recorded in mono, October 7, 1957 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Prepared for compact disc by Richard Seidel and Donald Elfman.
